La Fontana is an urban oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Belltown. As you step into the courtyard you are drawn in by the bubbling fountain and the aroma of Sicilian cuisine in the air. La Fontana has been a fixture in Belltown for over 23 years. Proprietor Mario Fuenzalida’s food philosophy of utilizing the freshest ingredients prepared to order ensures that every meal is a pleasurable and memorable experience. The wine list has been specially crafted as a showcase to the food; it features quality Sicilian and Italian wines that highlight the unique flavors of La Fontana’s menu.

The interior of the restaurant is cozy and intimate. Diners are seated at antique library tables that are individually light and adorned with fresh flowers. As your eyes wander around the restaurant you will be delighted as you discover old family photos and heirlooms adorning the brick walls. At La Fontana the atmosphere and the cuisine mesh together harmoniously. The service is courteous and the staff is knowledgeable, don’t be shy to ask for wine recommendations the staff is well versed in what wines pair well with and highlight the menu. Pass under the pergola, through the picturesque fountain courtyard and you’ll find La Fontana (“the fountain”) celebrating the cuisine of Sicily. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, true to Fuenzalida’s credo that, “A restaurant must have more life than just the food.” Coveted family treasures and artwork compete for prominence on the walls and shelves in three adjoining brick-walled rooms. Glass covered antique library tables are spaced for privacy, each softly illuminated by a small lamp. Strains of opera fill the room, completing the mood and piquing your appetite for hearty Italian fare.
